Hera is a leading character in Shining Star. She is the former leader of Dolls. Later on, in Episode 40, she officially becomes a member of Melody.

Normal Attire[]
Hera has sharp mauve eyes and long, partial curled lilac worn loose with no visible bangs and thick portions framed around her shoulder. Normally she wears a white headband with roses on the corner.
Her everyday clothes are a white full sleeve shirt with a long magenta skirt with a white belt. She wears a necklace with a pink rose and blue smaller flowers.
Performance[]
During performances, her attire is usually dark colored or features colors like white, purple, and black.
For star twinkle change, she gains a short blue dress with skinny white and black line detail, and purple ruffled strips. Black string is laced through the chest, and from there are lace straps wrapped around the neck with a gold ornate flower. The corner of the pleat skirt is split with two layers beneath it coming in purple and teal, over a white scalloped layer with rose print around the bottom. On the corner and back are midnight blue ribbons with white lining, and smaller blue and white ribbon tied to the center. She also wears white gloves with a tulle cuff and black ribbon, black floral lace stockings, blue to purple gradient boots, and a gold ornate flower headband decorated by pieces of teal, blue, and purple fabric, and black strings with gold dangles to match her earrings.
In season 2, when activating Dream Stage she gains makeup and a thin headband made from hair. Her dress is composed of a lavender top with lace accents and a strip of dark purple going down the center lined by tiny bows. Around the navel is a lilac and pale purple bodice with a chain of purple pearls around the top and a piece of scalloped fabric hanging from the back with a pair of folded, lace scalloped tails. Her gradient, shimmery skirt has a chain of various purple flowers around the hem. Her white heels have a dark purple flower on the toe and different ankle accessories, paired with lace stockings featuring a floral design going up the side. She also gains off-shoulder white sleeves with part of the fabric cut out to expose the skin and a flower resting on a tiny dark purple ribbon. The same ribbon wraps around the bottom and is trim by two ruffled layers, coming in lilac and light purple. Along with white low cut gloves with a flower, a ruffled collar held by dark purple ribbon, a matching ribbon head ornament, and flower earrings.
Personality[]
Hera is exceptionally talented at singing and dancing and she's extremely confident and bold. This makes her come off as vain, arrogant, and egotistical in that she seems not to initially put in very much effort because she simply thinks it's not necessary. She expects more from those working with her and she has no issue with insulting those who can't keep up. However, in the public eye -or to make a good impression- she appears to be humble and kind, offering encouragement to those in need of help; unless she thinks they might actually be a threat, in which she can become icy and hostile. She will even resort to sabotage or coming up with risky gestures to make herself look better. She also dislikes losing attention and gets mad quite easily, but usually manages to keep a stoic and formal attitude.
It is revealed that part of Hera's motivation to succeed as a Top Idol is the hopes that she can see her mother again, who she strongly cares about. For as self-centered as she might seem, she dearly cares about her mother or those she may admire or consider close to her.
History[]
Hera was very passionate for song and dance when she was little, encouraged by how much she loved to perform for her mother. But one day after a competition she won, she arrived home to find her mother missing.
Relationships[]
- Nara - Initially, Hera was encouraging towards Nara under the belief she wasn't competition, but this changed when Nara started to win various Missions. She doesn't seem threatened by her, but some of the time she seems to be envious of the things she has. Eventually, Nara softened her up over the series and it was her who convinced the others to accept Hera into Melody. They soon became proper friends.
- Beto - Beto was her companion/Magic Agent mentor given by Calliope before she left Dolls, and he was the one who instigated her bad deeds.
- Rose and Lily - Hera never really viewed them as true companions or friends, but girls she thought were good enough to stand by her side. She treated them like servants and made them jump through hoops to please her, and they kept up with it purely for the perks and popularity that came with it.
- See-a - She was treated like Rose and Lily, but Hera seemed to genuinely admire her talent of dance and wise ideas, and she trusted her to come up with her choreography. But after becoming suspicious of her when she started spending more time away from Dolls to focus on herself, she kicked her out of the group. This left harsh feelings between them, and See-a was adamantly against her joining Melody, but they were slowly able to reconcile through this.

- Her name in the Chinese version is Ning Xueyan. The "xue" refers to her ice-cold personality.
- She is the only member of New Melody whose hair isn't transformed when using her Magic Agent.
